Multiple (duplicate) printers listed in "Devices and Printers"
In "Devices and Printers," I have ended up with multiples with the same name. How do I delete the duplicates from the dropdown list? Thank you.

Highlight the greyed out device, right-click > remove. Rinse and repeat for each greyed out item.
I go to "Devices and Printers," highlight the only Icon for my Canon MX922 printer, click on "Open" then click on "Display Printer/Fax Properties." This brings up a dialog box with a dropdown list of the printers. None of them are greyed out. I'd like to eliminate any duplicates from this dropdown list. When I right click on any of them, nothing happens. There has to be another way.
Hello Nisko,
You should be able to use any one of the other options in the tutorial to remove the grayed out printers.
Remove Printer in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials
Reading your last post confused me for a bit, I think what you may be looking at are the drivers for that printer. There may be multiple drivers for that printer, some old, and some new. If I'm not where I think you are at, please let me know. Old drivers can be removed, though.
By default, with windows 10, there are 3 MS printers.....PDF, XPS and FAX. You might have one for Onenote plus your printer and in your case your Cannon.
In the Drop-down list, I have Printers and Faxs identified as, for example "Canon MX 920 Printer (Original 1)". In all the methods you've identified, I can't find a way to delete those from the Dropdown. Is there another way besides deleting all of them and reinstalling my printer? I can't show the actual drop-down because I don't know how to freeze the drop-down in the dropped-down view.
