    Sound quality

I used to be able to change the sound quality with my bluetooth headphones, but after installing this version of windows, the option to change the sound quality seems to be greyed out.

Is it possible to get the option to change the sound quality back again?

That "sound quality" setting doesn't mean much. I have a recording studio and have played around with those settings and they are only for a specific "shared" application. Standard "CD Quality" is 16 bit/44.1Khz. When I mixdown and master a song, the final format is the 16 bit/44.1Khz wav file. If you have a higher bit rate its truncated to 16 bits anyway when played. We use higher bits and sometimes higher frequency wav files internally in a recording program for track(s) manipulation but ultimately the song is mixed down to 16bit/44.1Khz.

I remember changing the settings in a previous version of windows, and it made a pretty big difference for me personally.

Press the Windows and "i" keys simultaneously, select "System", "Sound", "Troubleshoot".

Cerawy: Check your souncard driver in Device Manager. If it is "High Definition Audio Device" or something similar, you have to reinstall proper driver for your particular card. (And yes, you will need to do it after every Windows 10 major version upgrade, not only after 1803.)

Yes exactly, and also the MS generic ' HD Audio Device' drivers are always missing the 'Stereo Mix' option under the Recording tab. This was done deliberately way back in the early Vista days to stop folk recording live streams from the internet.

Doing so gives me option to choose between DFX and my bluetooth headphones. Clicking on either of them gives me the same result.

Windows asks me if i want to select it as my primary unit. Clicking yes doesnt solve the problem.

Why the latest ones? I intentionally use ten years old Win7 drivers for both Asus Xonar sound cards and Realtek chips in Windows 10. They are more stable and more feature-rich than current ones. Try some older ones.

Do you have a link to a driver that lets you change the sound quality?

I can send you drivers for Realteks and Xonars, not for card in your specs. You have to experiment yourself.
