Is there anywhere on this Forum where one can discuss Windows phones...?

    Brink, thanks for your reply.

I was asked the question.... "Are Windows 10 phones still available and if they are, what are Microsoft's plans going forward to support the platform?".

As I did not know, I Googled for an answer, which returned some confusing information, as follows:-

    • A tech magazine stated that Microsoft had withdrawn all support for W10 mobile as from February 2018
    • A different magazine stated that the W10 mobile platform was going to be available only to corporate customers
    • The Microsoft Store still offers W10 phones
    • Other vendors seem to have discontinued stocking W10 phones

Question : Has Microsoft issued a definitive statement with respect to support (or not) of the W10 mobile platform?

Basically, Windows 10 Mobile phones are pretty much dead unfortunately. I'm sad about this since I love my Lumia 1520.

You may be able to find some Windows 10 Mobile phones still for sale, but just keep in mind it most likely will no longer be supported in the future.

There hasn't been any official word if Microsoft is planing on a new platform in the future or not, but there have been many rumors about a Surface phone. Time will tell.

    Brink, thanks for the info.

Microsoft are missing a great opportunity to integrate their services between devices - PC, Laptop, Phone....

I note that even Gates has given up on W10 mobile and has switched to Android. Personally, I hate Android. I have consumed Swiss Cheese that has fewer holes in it than Android.

What I am not understanding is why Lumia phones are still being sold directly by Microsoft if there is no intention to support the W10 mobile platform.

Where are MS selling Lumia phones? Their US site shows 3 Android phones, the UK and Australia sites have an HP Windows phone, and in France an Alcatel Windows phone, both of which will likely be those still available. Once they are sold I don't think MS will sell more Windows phones.

I found a Lumia 950 and 950 XL still available at Amazon.

They want way too much for me considering.

Think you can get Lumia phones at many 3rd party stores, just OP said MS were still selling them.

Site date is 2018. Info looks up-to-date. And the marketing message is....."....the benefits of a seamless cross-device Windows 10 experience...." I did a search on the site for Android and it returned "not found". So I am assuming (incorrectly...?) that these are W10 phones.
