I did checkout what Asus said; left positive feedback for their guy in their telephone survey.

Just doing a backup; will take sometime.

Yes, these were the same issues 'Steps to follow on how to fix the boot lock in Windows 10 April 2018:' That's from one of the articles.

    As per instruction:

    DISKPART> select disk 0

Disk 0 is now the selected disk.

    DISKPART> select partition 1

Partition 1 is now the selected partition.

    DISKPART> delete partition override

DiskPart successfully deleted the selected partition.

    DISKPART> create partition EFI

DiskPart succeeded in creating the specified partition.

    DISKPART> format FS=fat32 quick

    100 percent completed

    DiskPart successfully formatted the volume.

    DISKPART> assign letter=T

DiskPart successfully assigned the drive letter or mount point.

    DISKPART> exit

    Leaving DiskPart...

    x:\windows\system32>bcdboot C:\Windows /s T: /f ALL
    Boot files successfully created.

    About to boot.

Carried out the instructions - boots into blue background 'please wait' about 15 minutes, then a message appears 'we will do everything for you'.
Then goes into desktop, only thing showing in desktop is the 'Recycle Bin' with following message, posted on thread previously:-

'C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop is unavailable. If the location is on this PC, make sure that the device is connected or the disc is inserted, then try again. If the location is on a network, make sure that you're connected to the network or internet, then try again. If the location still can't be found, it might have been moved or deleted.'

Placed Desktop file in systemprofile, now getting following message.

C:Windows\system32\Config\systemprofile\Desktop is not accessible. Access is Denied

The problem is with your Windows installation itself, not the boot files. You might try creating a new user account and see if the problem carries over to the new user account.

This is how the disk looks after following the steps NavyLCDR, is that correct -

    DISKPART> list vol

Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
    ---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
    Volume 0 G DVD-ROM 0 B No Media
Volume 1 C OS NTFS Partition 371 GB Healthy
Volume 2 D NTFS Partition 906 MB Healthy
Volume 3 E DATA NTFS Partition 558 GB Healthy
Volume 4 FAT32 Partition 276 MB Healthy Hidden
    Volume 5 F WINPESE_ FAT32 Removable 14 GB Healthy
