Eject Media Safely Popup Window Doesn't Show Up

So this is something that has been bothering me for a while. Whenever I use the "eject media safely icon" in bottom right section of the taskbar

to eject things like flash drives and external hard drives, in the past (Windows 8 and 7), I used to get a little pop up message that confirmed that the drive was ejected safely. This is what I'm referring to:

But in Windows 10, I don't get this little pop-up anymore! I honestly found it to be really useful in the past, because sometimes my drives didn't eject immediately and I had to wait. Without this pop-up, I have no indication of whenever they're done other than to have file explorer itself open and wait for the drive to disappear from the "my computer" section. This is obviously not ideal.

Is there any way to turn this notification bubble back on in Windows 10, or is it gone forever?

It's alive and well in Windows 10...

But you won't see it if you have turned off 'Get notifications from apps and other senders' in Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

Do you get the message when using Properties of the drive and Eject?

Neither in properties nor in right click menu, I don't see any eject option.

Try turning the option OFF and then ON under configuration.

You only see the eject option on a right-click or in properties if the external device is classed as 'removable media', that means a memory stick or an SD card.

An external HDD is not regarded as removable media and can only be ejected from the icon in the taskbar.

But before update, I got the notification, even if I opted for removal external HDD from taskbar cion.

I did that also and restarted the laptop. Still no notifications. Only taskbar icon disappears as before.

I had to do this when I had the same problem.
For safe eject USB notification missing:
    • Press keyboard "win + R"
    • Type "regedit"
    • Search the value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Notification\Settings\Microsoft.Explorer .Notification.{...}"
    • If you REG_DWORD 0x00000001(0) set "0" you can double click on value. Set the value data to "1"
    • Click "OK"
Solved | No Safely remove notifiction pop up, HAVE Icon
