    Speaker Setting Not Working

Windows 10 1803 Build 17134.48. The speaker Icon next to the clock is there but when you click on it nothing appears. If I logout and back in it will work for a few reboots then stop again. Any one else see this?

What sound driver are you using? The one from ASUS? or is the sound hardware driver (Realtek) missing and just the Windows High Definition Audio driver? If its just the High Definition Audio Driver, the first step is to install the Realtek driver. Either the one from ASUS (link below) or the HD Realtek driver direct from Realtek. I have an ASUS ROG Maximus Viii Hero Z170 motherboard and I'm using the one direct from Realtek.

The sound works fine. It's not a driver problem. This started right after the 1803 upgrade. The speaker Icon next to the clock is there but when you click on it nothing appears. If I logout and back in it will work and you can adjust the sound for a few reboots then stops again.
