Keyboard & Mouse

Hi, Keyboard and mouse only work in USB 3.0 ports, except when in BIOS where they only work in USB 2.0. Have to switch ports whenever I want to enter BIOS. Also PC will not boot if K&M are in USB 2.0.
Any suggestions?

Yes, switch ports. The BIOS has built-in support for USB 2 but not USB 3. USB 3 gets support from the OS/Operating System when it loads. Haven't seen much to be gained by using the keyboard and mouse in USB 3 ports versus USB 2.

As to the booting, is that a Custom machine? Didn't see a brand name except for the components. Could be a hardware issue.

Most implementations of a BIOS have a setting for Legacy USB that needs to be Enabled, not always comes as a default setting.

As I said the K&M will only work in USB 3 ports, and they will only work in BIOS, in USB 2.
Yes this is a custom machine.
Legacy USB was enabled.
