Fingerprint scanner not working on my laptop after changing to windows

My fingerprint scanner/login was working until recently and I am not sure how to fix it. I upgraded to windows 10 on my laptop from windows 8 and then the scanner stopped working. When i go the settings/sign-in options the ability to set-up the fingerprint icon is there, however after i click on set-up and get started I don't get the screen option to input my pin. I have already set-up a pin which i use to log onto my computer. I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this issue. I have attached screen-shots of the three steps.

Go to HP Support/Download Drivers, Type in your Make and Model # or Serial #, choose your version of Windows 10 , (ie) 32bit or 64bit and Under Driver-Keyboard, Mouse, Input Devices, download the Validity Fingerprint driver

    Validity Fingerprint

    Spunk,

Thank you for the advise, I have tried this solution however it has not solved the issue. I still get the same results when I get to the screen to input the pin number it only gives me the box with the cancel button and no pin input options.

Access Device Manager ... then find "Biometric Devices" and uninstall "Valididy Sensors". After the uninstall completes, restart your computer. Then install the Fingerprint Scanner by downloading the "Validity Fingerprint" driver from the HP support site. This should correct your problem.

    TexasBandit,
Thank you for this assistance. I followed the steps that you said and uninstalled the Validity sensor, restarted my computer and then reinstalled the Validity. However the scanner did not work. If you have any other suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I am still getting the blank box after clicking the setup, i never get the input screen. Can anyone give any further assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

From the screen prints, it appears you have not scanned or set up your fingerprints. Click on "Set Up" and "Get Started" to begin.

After i click on begin setup it supposed to have me input mu pin and then swipe my finger over the scanner to scan my finger, however it never give me the box to input my pin or the option to scan my finger.

It may be good to just start over. It sounds like the utility may be corrupted. Uninstall the driver and the related software. Restart ... then reinstall both of them and try another restart (can't hurt) and try the scanner again.
