Conflicting information on my Storage Space...

I posted over in drivers and hardware and getting no replies. Trying here...

    System Info:
    Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
    V 1703
    Build 15063.674

When I look at the 'drive' from the explorer, it shows: Total Size: 4.99 TB Available space: 3.37TB.

Now, when I look at the storage space through Manage Storage Space...see the screen capture:

    1. You are running V. 1703 which 2 version old.
    2. Did you create this disk as a Dynamic disk ? What does Disk Management show ? Please post a screen shot of Disk Management

I'm not sure I see the point you are making.
Why would that account for the size discrepancy?

Maybe W10 "upgrades" won't install on the OP's machine (just like my VM and laptop, which are still on 1703).

Updates are not working on my machine. I did some effort utilizing feedback in another post 3-4 weeks ago and thought I had updates working. (See my Windows update screen below).

Other screen shots in answer to requests above are below as well.

From disk management, it does report the same storage and used space as from explorer.
May I ask did you try to create a storage pool or something ? if so, you should not mess with this.

Is this disk an external disk connected via USB ? WD or Seagate branch ?

I have the feeling that this disk is formatted with GPT type using 512K emulation so Windows get confused. To verify:

    1. Right click on Disk 6 ->Properties->Volumes. What does it show on partition styles ? GPT ?
    2. Download Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition Free, install then run. What does it show on disk 7 ? MBR ?

If step 1 shows GPT and step 2 shows MBR then definitely the disk was formatted using 512K emulation. The reason they did this so that it would be recognized by WinXP or if you connect it to a TV.

Windows Updates failed is another problem you have. First, it tried to updates from 1703 -> 1709 and failed so any subsequent updates to 1803 also failed.

I'm not having much luck. There is no 'volume' selection when I rclick and select properties.
Then when I run the downloaded utility there is no disk 7.

I do see that on Disk 2 there is a GPT.

    Weird.
If the machine is running 1703, why did an update for 1709 (and a Flash update) succeed?

    Good Catch!

My apologies, and my fault. I had copied the text from my earlier post in the drivers and hardware forum that was getting no response. But since then I had done the thing that 'fixed' my updates problem, and updated to 1709.

But of course, now I have update problems again.

    Correct and current version info:
    Windows 10 Ppro
    Version: 1709
    Build: 16299.309
