    A real master computer builder would pull the power supply from his wife's PC, test it in his, and put everything back together again before the wife got home!
    The when she says "what did you do today honey?" you reply "oh, nothin'"

    And if things go south you rant about how unreliable (YOUR BRAND HERE) power supplies are!

    My Mrs lives in front of her pc watching tv so she may notice it get taken, no pc no tv I'd have to go in to hiding

    Well the new ram arrived today and made zero difference. I re flashed the bios with no gpu installed just for the sake of it too I also sold the other ram so can buy another psu to test tomorrow. We shall see what happens next lol

    I got the new psu and installed it yesterday and so far so good. I still don't know if it was the psu for definite causing the issues as I totally stripped everything out an rebuilt my rig again. It restarts, cold boots and doesn't freeze in the bios so far so touch wood its all sorted now. We shall see though
