Windows 10: Sick of a cheap mouse that breaks? Consider the Microsoft Mouse 4000

After many cheap and expensive mice, I use this one T70-TERMINATOR GAMING MOUSE-Bloody Official Website for 2 years now and still works as new. One of best features is metal glide pads that and back-forward buttons were making me most problems in the past.

That's what happens when switch wears out. For me it was the trigger button in FPS games. Replaced it once and its been fine since.
Without having a strong skill of soldering components, it would be a long and tricky undertaking to replace the switch on the MX Anywhere. The effort would be greater than just buying a new mouse... although, if the replacement doesn't have quite the solid feeling and lifespan as the MX Anywhere, might be worth fixing after all. Knowing how tactile switches can develop carbon deposits over very long periods of time, I'm hoping that being able to force the button travel further than usual (I used a paper clip to push the button further into the plastic mount) will have cleared it. I did that several dozen times before reassembling the mouse. If that's the real source of the problem and repeating this once a year fixes it, I wouldn't mind repeating this (now that I know how to do it).

Using Logitech M705 for 8 years already and not planning on replacing it anytime soon. Well worth it. :)
I'd looked at that one as a low-cost replacement... but also spotted this: TeckNet Classic 2.4G Optical Wireless Mouse
Has a very similar design to old Logitech MX Anywhere (uses 2 AA cells). 6 sensitivity settings. It has a 4.3 star rating on Amazon with 13,500+ reviews. $9.99 is present going price for the black one. But you have to know for that price, it won't be anywhere near the quality of the mouse it is imitating -- the MX Anywhere. That said, if you replace it twice within 4 years, probably better to just get a Logitech M705.
