Not sure, but there could be some universal drivers that work in most models. To find out, uninstall the touchscreen in Device Manager, restart the computer and let Windows try to find and install a generic driver. It might work.

I made an account on here just to answer this for you cause I was having the same problems and I know how frustrating it can be to not get an answer when you need one. This worked for me and I have a Dell Touchscreen Laptop. Hopefully it works for you.

Open your Start menu, and type in Device Manager to search for it. Click on it in the results to open it. Click on the arrow next to Human Interface Devices to open up the drop down menu for it. Then find and right click HID-compliant touch screen. Click Disable. It will ask if you want to disable it because it may stop working - click Yes. Then right click again and click Enable, or Re-enable.

It should start working again once you do this. It did for me. If not, hopefully you can find something else that works. Good luck!

Thanks for posting this. I actually disabled and rebooted before reenabling, but it worked. It was hard to find the device manager, however. I had to go to Start/All Apps/Windows System/Control Panel/Device Manager. It's not under "Settings/Devices." I wish Windows wouldn't hide all the really important stuff under all the layers of junky apps.

    Thanks again!

Easier way to find Device Manager: search for device and you'll see the direct link

    or

Press WIN+E and click on Control Panel, then Device Manager. If you see groups in Control Panel, select View by -> Large icons to see all controls.

The final solution that worked after 6 months of Windows 10 was from the mfr. ASUS. After installing Win 10, we lost the touch screen on our ASUS T100TA. None of the solution presented from so many blogs worked. Contacted ASUS and the sent me a web address to download the windows 8 drivers fix. Wish I could post the solution, but there was a copyright disclaimer with it. All I can say is, go to the mfr. website and see if they have a "hotfix" that will restore windows 8 drivers.

I work in a Computer Store as a Technician and we recently had an Asus T100TAF tablet with a problem in Windows. I have prepared a USB Flash drive with Windows 10 32-bit that can boot in UEFI-based tablets, so I proceeded to format it and install Windows 10. I used a USB hub to connect the Flash drive and also a USB mouse and keyboard to be able to control it until I install the touch drivers.

First I used Snappy Driver Installer to automatically install all drivers, but as with most tablets the touch screen didn't work. So I had to connect at Asus support site and download all the drivers for Windows 8. I installed the chipset driver first and then all the others. Once I had installed them all, the touch screen worked again.

So avoid any automatic utilities, download any drivers directly from the tablet manufacturer's site and install them starting from the chipset driver. Use a USB keyboard and mouse to control the tablet until all drivers have been installed. Alternatively, you could control it remotely, if you have TeamViewer installed (this is preferred if you have to charge it, as you cannot normally charge it and at the same time connect anything on the USB port).

    I hope that helps.

HP Stream x360 touch screen not responsive

    Kalebgmsn said:
Hey all, I hope you can help me on this considering the Microsoft chat is taking forever.

I just bought a HP Stream x360 yesterday and upgraded it to Windows 10, the issue is that the touchscreen will no longer work. It worked with 8.1 but not with 10. I have checked with Windows Update and installed all of the updates. I have also checked with the HP driver support to see if any needed to be installed and it said none (if I did it right). Any thoughts on how to fix it?

    Thanks a ton guys.

    install Driver Controller :
    Intel Serial IO Driver

    from HP the official website:

Install the chipset (Platform or whatever is called) driver directly from HP's site. The touch screen will work.
