When I try to overprovision using the Micron Storage Executive Software, I get the following message:
"Unable to perform OP operations since bit locker is enabled on the drive."

I tried disabling bitlocker in Windows 10, but all the methods I ran into doing a Google search seem to fail.

    Thanks for your help!

If anybody has a method of disabling bitlocker on a fully updated version of Windows 10, I would appreciate knowing about it.

You don't "need" to overprovision as long as you don't fill the disk up.

But if you want to be sure you have enough space, reserved for garbage collection and don't fill it too much, just use Disk Management and set aside 5-10% disk size as unallocated.

I have about 21% of available space available, so that should do it. Thanks!

Wow, you have a considerable amount of data on that 2TB disk.......as Cliff said just to keep an eye on it and try to keep around 10% available.......
