    printer not detected issue

Hi. I have an epson printer that has for some reason disappeared. I tried to reinstall the software pkg. and while it displays in devices (control panel) with a green check mark by it, it does not print. When trying to add a new device it is unable to locate it. This is windows 10 on a desktop pc, 64 bit computer and an epson xp320 printer. I have tried reinstalling after uninstalling and rebooting numerous times. Any help appreciated.

After you uninstalled driver/software package....did you download a fresh copy of the driver/software package? If not you need to. Next, before for you install the driver/software package, you need to unplug the printer USB cable...either from printer or PC...."IF THE PC IS STILL ON". Otherwise just leave printer off and cable connected.....then install the software and follow the onscreen prompts when to turn on printer.

    Hi snelcamp2 -

Cleanly uninstall the printer software if already installed. Shut down the PC.
Power-off and disconnect your printer if USB or power-off if Wi-Fi.

Reboot the disconnected PC and perform this reset on the printer -

    Epson XP-320 | XP Series | All-In-Ones | Printers | Support | Epson US

Afterwards download the correct version of the software for your model and follow the instructions.
If W10 wants to install, let it go first. Check it. If no go, run the Epson software.

    Let us know.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. Plankton got in right before me (surprise!) but the process is essentially the same. Thanks, Plankton! :)
