    PC keeps reinstalling bad driver since Win 10 update


    Windows 10 forced an update on my laptop last week (1709), and ever since I have a Conexant audio driver with terrible audio quality that I can't get rid of.I've disabled automatic device driver updates (Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Hardware), yet whenever I uninstall the unit and its driver back to the regular High Definition Audio Device driver within the device manager, it eventually reinstalls the bad Conexant driver.What can I do?

    Hi steffeeh. I would try the registry change. Option 4

    Enable or Disable Driver Updates in Windows Update in Windows 10

    MS doesn't create vendor drivers, they make them available.
