Yea I slapped the clone on my newest 3TB HDD. It is blazing fast for a HDD. I can image my entire SSD to it in under 2 min (31GB). I glad you confirmed my assumption it would get better.

I ran HD Sentinel again and the SOB says 128 days still. I think its bugged. The other two programs each went down by one day in the estimation. I am prepared for the worst now, all I have to do is change the boot order in BIOS to have a working windows if my SSD fails. I plan on replacing the image on that HDD (C:\ only, leaving the other partitions as they are) couple times a week. That way I won't be booting into last month or anything.

EDIT: the 128 days it told me was 3 days ago. still same
Since you cloned an SSD to HDD, also make sure to defragment the HDD, files could be way out of order and chopped up all over the place. SSDs does not have this issue so defragmenting is useless on those.

Will do! I planned on doing that the first time I booted into the HDD by needing it.

Might as well go all the way and do defrag + optimization. My favorite program: Disk SpeedUp - Free Defragmenter to Defrag Disk for Best Performance | Glarysoft

I've never tried this free tool, but will def. add it to my toolbox. I like the optimization feature. On apps I've used such feature makes a huge difference.

Adding that to my "data storage" drive for safe keeping. Thanks!
