I ran it and it seemed to check out okay. All was green.

I changed USB ports, and it didn’t help.

Have you tried a different mouse yet?

This is a corded mouse that came with the computer. But I have one that went to her old Dell Desktop that I will try on it.

The Dell mouse doesn’t work. I don’t have anymore mice.

So, is that because the Dell mouse is no good? Honestly, you've got to have a known-working mouse to try for troubleshooting.

That’s correct. The DELL mouse is no good. The only mouse that works is the Acer mouse. I really don’t think there is anything wrong with the mouse. I think it may be a virus or a bug. I’m waiting on the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update to come out to see if the issue is resolved afterwards.

Well, you'd probably want to head on out to the store and buy a new mouse - never hurts to have an extra on hand anyway.

Aside from that, does anyone have remote access to the thing? Have you turned that off?

Can you run ADWCleaner to see if anything malicious is lurking?

Nobody should have remote access to it. I will run that cleaner. If it doesn’t detect anything, then the next thing to do would be to replace it with a wireless mouse.
