@dalchina Just talked to them on phone, they are of no use just like i thought.

I just want to clear one thing. Lets say my touchad has something to do with hardware and thats the reason its not working but would i still be able to download my laptops touchapd drivers from toshiba support page and after installing them will they show up in device manager even if its the hardware issue?

    Hi, see:
Toshiba Satellite Touchpad not working - Internal Hardware
    If you search for
TOSHIBA Satellite touchpad not shown in Device Manager
you will find similar discussions. Perhaps something will help.. if so let us know!

You've no yellow triangles in Dev. Man. so all found hardware apparently has a driver.
Your touchpad doesn't work in Safe Mode.
It does when using the BIOS.

Trying to install the Synaptics driver fails with no obvious error message.
As I commented above, that failure is strange- see if your event log reports anything useful.

Now your touchpad should at least be basically functional in Normal mode. Clearly Window isn't seeing something that should trigger the driver being installed.
I can't comment usefully on your question as that depends on code deep in the OS.. only that it appears Windows isn't seeing your hardware at some level, as we know, only that a reasonable assumption would be if the hardware isn't visible to the OS installing higher level software is unlikely to help.

This is not a problem I've seen before on this forum- but then I don't read all posts either!

I've suggested seeing what happens with Kyhi's boot disk, also checking to see if there's a BIOS update.

Try posting on your laptop's support forum.

Go into Device Manager, click "View", "Show hidden devices" and see if the touchpad shows up.
