    Bluetooth Mouse cursor problem

I have a gigabyte M7700B bluetooth mouse. This works well with my laptops (which have bluetooth built in) - all efforts to use with my desktop PC however gives a problem.
The desktop required a USB bluetooth dongle - so I bought an admittedly cheap CSR V4.

I can set this up to a working condition, BUT, after say 10 minutes the cursor disappears. This happens repeatedly.
As the mouse works fine with my laptop(s) - I can only assume that the dongle is not perhaps up to scratch??
I have tried just allowing it to plug and play, and also have tried it with the supplied driver/software. The software supplied on cd disk seems to be rather flaky.

I know this is a known problem, so is there an answer to be found? I am happy to get an alternate dongle (Kinivo V4 perhaps?) and see if there is any mileage in that. System Win 10 64 bit - fully up to date
    Your help appreciated

A newer Bluetooth V4 dongle will probably help. I had a similar problem on my production desktop recently, and bought a StarTech USB to Bluetooth v4 adapter and it fixed my issues right away. I believe the newer devices have more RF oomph that seems to help with making and keeping a working wireless connection.

Thanks for your reply EdTittell - I have ordered a Kinivo V4, so will see how that works out.
I have also gone through the HID properties and made a few alterations... so far so good.

PS - As I typed the above, it packed up again. so had to remove USB and re-insert to get it working again!

Kinivo V4 dongle received, fitted, working - happily no further problems encountered.
I can now use my favourite mouse:)

Glad it worked for you. When hardware is indeed involved, the fix is both immediate and noticeable. Sounds like you found the right solution! Thanks for marking the thread solved so others can learn from your experience.
