Possibility of changing mic input volume to one channel?

Hello everyone, I use an XLR mic and pre-amp setup and while it is very nice and sounds very good, I've been having issues when it comes to using any VOIP program. I already know why this is happening but as of recent I found out the the drivers that go with my motherboard (Realtek of some sort) have an issue where, under high CPU load, the computer will occasionally at random times hitch and cause the audio to buzz while the hitch is occurring. I was able to deduce that it was the audio drivers by basically doing a bunch of Googling and finding out that switching to windows default audio drivers solves the issue, and I have confirmed that this is the case. While I wouldn't mind using the default windows audio drivers the main problem I am running into is that with the motherboard-based audio drivers i was able to adjust my mics input volume to a singular channel inside of a bundled software package that goes with the Realtek drivers. The reason i need to do this is because i have to process the mic input through Voicemeeter as a single channel to output it as a mono signal in order for VOIP programs (Discord, Twitch, Skype etc.) to pick up the mic at all. I haven't been able to find the setting in Windows (if there even is one) or a piece of software that is able to do it. I can provide additional info on stuff if you need it. Thanks in advance!

Hi, as you say, Realtek can offer that setting- I guess you mean this.

As regards what you're experiencing, you might want to try a program called LatencyMon
    http://www.resplendence.com/latencymon

to check for latency issues which can cause stutter. Normally that's reported as sound issues in terms of what is heard.

If you run that program it will give you a report, however identifying the underlying issue, which you've done in part, may be harder.

If LatencyMon shows you have a potential problem, there are threads related to that- search the forum for

Hey Dalchina, thanks for the help, I figured out why the hitching and buzzing was happening, it turns out when I updated my Management Engine Components drivers, I had neglected to install the latest chipset drivers, and I'm under the impression that my system was having a hard time keeping stability without the proper driver installed. So now i can just use the Motherboard based audio drivers and everything is fine. Going to mark this as solved now.
