    By the way:
sfc /scannow showed corrupt filers found but unable to fix some of them.
Then, Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth showed "restore operation compleyed successfully"
Then, sfc /scanow showed corrupted files found but unable to fix some of them.
Vicious cycle. But it happened many times during a few of those previous cumulative updates and Insiders updates. I am not surprised and I am not going to waste time on that.

    Thank you.
    Apparently you have fixed it.
    Thank you.

WELL ! Maybe I should worry about it.

    System Image Backup failed.
( I use the Win 10 built-in File History route. I have been using the built-in app since Win 7 days. That's about 5 years. Not planning to switch to Macrium Reflect or Acronis or any of such apps. I am stubborn.)

    Problems resolved.

    Did a Repair Install.
Sfc /scannow reports no integrity violation.
    System Image Backup successful.

    PHEW! Knock on wood.

I have had a few computers. Who would have thought a 4 in x 1.5 in stick could cause me so much headache.

Beat me to it on driver.

I would be changing to Macrium Reflect. Far more reliable. The bought version has Image Guardian which supposedly protects your backups from Ransomware. I use it.

There is a free version that many members use. There is a tutorial to get you going.
