Windows 10 Low Disk Space Event not being logged

    Hello,

Windows 10 is not logging Low Disk Space for D drive, used for videos storage, in Windows Event Log. I googled and it seems event should be with Event ID of 2013 but no such event is logged. I do get Windows notification about Low Disk in Notification Area but no event is logged. Initially, registry was missing 2 REG_DWORD which *should* enable this event to be logged. I programmed these in:

    LowDiskSpaceMinimum: 0x00a(10)
    DiskSpaceThreshold: 0x0190(400)

I restarted the computer and cold booted the PC a few times but still can't get event log to register Low Disk space event. I have searched for couple of days to figure this out but no luck. Right now there 0 Free Bytes on D drive. Could really use some help on this.

    Thanks

RIght-click the Start button, go to Disk Management. Post a screen shot of the charts, we need to know full information about the drive/s in your system and the partitions on them. There are partitions that should not/can not be used for users' data storage but they usually too small to be useful. Sometimes/frequently it is useful to empty the Recycle Bin.

It has nothing to do with reclaiming the disk space or Recycle Bin or partitions. I dump video files on it and all I want is Disk Full Event to be logged into Windows Event Log. That is all.

Okay. But I'd be very concerned if it were my computer in having 0 MB 0% free space available on that D: drive as your image shows.

I have some automation script that cleans up the drive but it is using polling mechanism and it works but I would like to automate this task based on event, i.e, event driven. Windows 10 Event Viewer has this automation built in but it needs to log that event so I can automate what happens when Disk Full event is triggered. Windows is not logging Disk Full Event, hence, I am here to seek help.

Yes. But I also looked in other locations such as Applications, etc. as well.
