Yes, I still use that one, but I had to reinstall VisualC++ afterwards, it did not work the first time.

Latest VC++ Pack: Download VC.exe from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way
I tried 2013 , 2015 and 2017 all in X64 bit and none of them fixed the Issue , so I ran the VC Pack installer from your link and it installed 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2017 versions in x86 and x64 plus the minimal Installs from those years too , and SetPoint is finally working and not erroring out every 3 minutes . Of note is that 2015 VC++ is not installed according to Control Panel but I still removed msvcp.dll from the SetPointP Folder

However my Marble Mouse Trackball (PS2) is not seen by the SetPoint Software even after installing the PS2 Drivers
so I 'm still figuring that part out....

    VC++ 2017 supersedes the 2015 versions.
my Logitech RX650 wireless mouse seems to work okay with the newest release.
I'll have to test the newer Logitech M325 mouse later on.

True , but I found with Setpoint 6.67 it needs VC 2015 whereas 6.68 on another system did not work with it and needed VC 2017.

If your Mice use the Options Software instead like my 510 it is not effected by this issue , at least for me.

Yet Another surprising update, released just two days ago apparently:

Cordless Desktop 5500 Revolution - Logitech Support

    https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/....69.114_32.exe
    https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/....69.114_64.exe

It only says: 'bug fixes'. Ha!

Thanks for the Heads Up on Setpoint....

might I suggest a new pinned thread for the Options Software too ( updated Aug 20th) since all Newer Logitech Products use it.
Eg Mx2, M510 and most other products with a Unifying receiver including Keyboards etc

the Options Software is best suited for modern Logitech devices & not for "legacy" devices, Kbird.

I still use older legacy Logitech devices like this old wired Logitech Optical USB mouse (M-UV96) and the Logitech Cordless Desktop Express PS2 mouse & keyboard (Y-RQ57 and M-RR95) on some of my PCs, which require the Setpoint software. I even have a Logitech RX650 optical usb wireless mouse (M-UAN141)

btw, Setpoint 6.69 seems to cause the Logitech M-UV96 usb mouse to make the mouse pointer start & stop moving at random times, regardless of Windows version. so I uninstalled that and the Logitech M-UV96 usb optical mouse works properly again

Hi , I agree Erpster4, I was just suggesting Brink also start a dedicated thread for the Options Software.

I actually still use an old Logitech TRB-22 Trackball and some PS2 and USB Marble mice , so Setpoint is still needed for me too, I didn't notice any difference in functionality between 6.68 and 6.69 , only in their installation, in that they seem to need different Visual C++ versions to work correctly on my systems to stop the Setpoint Runtime Error.

Logitech list the M510 working with Setpoint but in my case , neither M510 does and I need the Options software as well, early versions of Options did not work properly with the Setpoint Software also installed, though the Mice worked fine via the Mouse App in control panel as plain Mice.

well Kbird I ended up trashing those Logitech M-UV96 & M-UAN141 mice since it really turned out to be hardware problems (like constant erratic mouse cursor movements using those mice); I have had those mice for a decade and they seemed to have worn out recently. tried disassembling them to clean the inside and re-assembling them but to no improvement.

So I ordered a Logitech M100 corded usb optical mouse (M-U0026) from Amazon several days ago and that one works fine with the Setpoint 6.69 software.

I picked Up several M510 with the Wireless Unifying Adapter , being a larger mouse they fit my hand better and are more comfortable. The Support page for the M510 has links for Setpoint , but all I get is a warning that I need Options for them though they work fine without Options too.

Still Prefer my TRB-22 Trackball though :)
