Well, they're all bad if you ask me - but that's subject for another conversation.
Regarding 'we get what we pay for' - not so sure about it taking into account extortionate prices Logitech is asking recently for their kit...!
Can I open this thread again? We have a VERY strange issue and am using SetPoint 32 bit v6.67.83.0. We are on Windows 10 pro and it IS 64 bit.
Where can I get the latest 64 bit SetPoint? The strange issue is that we had/have a MK520 and had a number of keys re-assigned. KB Broke and we got a NEW one from Logitech. Well it works OK again and have not changed the SetPoint software from the 32 bit. However it sees the previous reassigned keys but we can NOT change a different one. It looks like we can but when we try it it does not work. Any ideas?
Do you use Defender, try to temporarily disable Protected Folders.

I will check...Actually we use BitDefender and have not had this issue on other systems. Perhaps it is because we still have the original 32 bit Set Point. It does still work, but will not let us change any other keys. I can just try to install the NEWEST 64 bit version and see if that helps. I assume that it will then remove all of the other settings so my wife will need to mark down exactly what she has changed and even verify that she did not change anything on her TrackBall.

Well, that is not the problem. I believe it is the very old 32 bit software that is doing it. It is OK with what had been previously configured but it will not let us change anything further. It takes our changes but does not implement them, and the files do not show any current date that I would expect to see if it did, in fact, change what we wanted. I wonder if I can just install the latest 64 bit SetPoint over it or will it make a mess? I mean, do I need to uninstall the OLD 32 bit setpoint first?
I would cleanly uninstall the 32-bit completely, reboot, then install the 64-bit. Get it as clean as possible. Sometimes old .dll file and drivers can really mess up a mix of 32/64 version apps. In order to get the best clean uninstall, get a copy of the free trial of Revo Uninstaller (recommended) and uninstall it that way, using the Advanced cleaning in the second phase.

OK...need to do this all tomorrow after my wife notes all that she changed in the KB and the TrackBall!
