It interesting how my MX Wireless mouse now lasts almost a month before a recharge is needed, by using Win-10 mouse control/settings, instead of Setpoint. (P.C. crashed last October. Never reinstalled Setpoint.) When it was controlled by the Setpoint software, I had to plug it in for recharge every 8 to 10 days.

Which MX Mouse? mine ( MX Anywhere2) uses the Options Software as does a M510, not the Setpoint Software, though I have a Marble Mouse and TRB-22 Trackball that Uses Setpoint.

I guess the constant monitoring of the battery Level has a side Effect though...

I only use regular logitech mouses. You know, 2 buttons, 1 wheel, almost free and dont break. With cord of course.

The win 10 drivers works for both mouse and regular logitech keyboard, but I got told by ASUS support to get the logitech drivers because that had something to do with my new ASUS B450 motherboard issue. (I have no idea how thats even connected, but ok, Id try. cant hurt)

The Logitech Setpoint software does not find the keyboard (Regular Logitech keyboard. New, but the same it has been for 20 years), and it found the mouse, but had no more effect then the normal win 10 driver.

The ASUS motherboard feature kicked in. (I still dont have a clue how the heck thats connected), but the logitech log says lots of errors and I need to reinstall it.

Anyone know if there is any keyboard/mouse logitech driver that works with regular mouse and keyboard without blinking lights and 500 buttons?
This is for my gaming rig. I have ZERO interest in more buttons then 2 + the wheel. I have 0 interest in any keyboard other then ...a keyboard!

Corded of course. My system is a desktop.
I wouldnt ask if it wasnt for the ASUS motherboard feature (hardware security).

Oh, I tried older logitech drivers and microsoft own keyboard and mouse software. No go.
Before I remove it and live with the fact my motherboard cant use a fantastic security feature.....anyone got any suggestion on logitech software that I may missed?
    Thanks!

Normally the Logitech Support page will suggest a Driver Download for each model you have , but if it isn't Setpoint or Options then I am not sure as you say it's not a Gaming Keyboard or Mouse which use the Logitech LGS software.

Setpoint is supposed to be discontinued, even though they sell hardware, which does not work without it.

Download Logitech Options to Increase Work Productivity

Originally I bought ASUS B450 motherboard, I am lucky it did not work out and I got MSI instead.

As I said. Its my gaming PC. I just dont need or want any gaming mouse or keyboard .
The logitech "find your hardware tool" doesnt even find the mouse.

The logitech keyboard and mouse I have are new.
Asus motherboard will not engage secure boot without the driver....nuts!

All the logitech drivers seams to be aimed for cordless hardware and keyboard/mouse that looks like a spaceship. I dont need any of that to own anyone in game of choice .

I guess the windows driver will do and I just have to live without the motherboard security because I dont want cordless mouse/keyboard that looks like something from Star Trek.

I cant believe this. THANK YOU! That software found both and the logitech log just says "Installation successfull". From having 150 lines of errors before.
Wierd, from the Logitech main site, the link you gave me is hard to find.

My ASUS B450-PLUS GAMING is fantastic with AMD Ryzen 5, 3600. I dont mind paying more, but my rig is so damn good I still use my TITAN BLACK and have everything on highest. The M.2 SSD + VRAM does the work and I cant praise AMD enough for the Ryzen technology. Overclocking CPU Ghz does not matter anymore. OC bus speed, volt etc, along with the Multithreading among logical CPU beats the snot out of Intels 4.X Ghz CPU. (I always bought Intel before).

    Thanks for the tip!

Did anybody else also start receiving this nonsense?

It started over the weekend and once approved, it installs, reports it's up to date and then starts again...

I’ve not had any notification but then again I haven’t opened SetPoint to check - updates are set to automatically download & install.

I have removed checking for updates and the browser app slowing down overall experience.
    Code:
    taskkill /im LogiAppBroker.exe /f
    taskkill /im LogitechUpdate.exe /f
    taskkill /im LULnchr.exe /f
    taskkill /im KHALMNPR.exe /f
    taskkill /im Setpoint.exe /f
    del "%ProgramFiles%\Logitech\SetPointP\LogiAppBroker.exe" /s /f /q
    del "%ProgramFiles%\Logitech\SetPointP\msvcp110.dll" /s /f /q
    del "%ProgramFiles%\Logitech\SetPointP\msvcr110.dll" /s /f /q
    rd "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\LogiShrd\sp6\LU1" /s /q

Had I set it up this way I would have been welcomed with 'successful update/installation' each time I log in or boot. I'd rather prefer to be in charge of what & when is installed.

Also, I see the same behaviour on my Windows 8.1 laptop. And nothing has changed here either...

And having dug a bit further I can tell that files within ~/Temp/lu/:

    1_spp_setpointp.exe.xml
    1_spp_setpointp.exe.xml.sig

contain rather unassuming but frank 'HTTP 404 - File Not Found'.

Which points further towards incorrect metadata @ Logitech...
