Question ...
I'm on Win 10 Pro, Have the Dinovo Desktop Bluetooth.
Have Setpoint 6.68.250 Driver 5.92.117
If I update, it kills off my bluetooth and I have to reinstall this version to get it back.
Thoughts?
I also note that it tells me for my MZ1000 for Bluetooth that "some features of this device are not supported by this version of setpoint. Same for my DiNovo KB. Cant figure what features are affected either ...
I'll tell ya, it's enough I'm thinking to just let it update and use them in wifi mode, but I always thought the BT hub may come in handy, such as to pair BT earbuds to the PC if needed :)
It's been working fine for me in that mode under Windows XP for years, however since moving to Windows 10 I use PC's separate, built-in Bluetooth adapter for any 3rd Party connectivity, and Logitech dongle just for keyboard & mouse in its proprietary mode. Just my two-pence.
When you upgrade the Drivers , do you unplug the adaptor/dongle and plug it back in ?
I sometimes lose my Unifying tab on the Tools tab and have to do this to get it back....... I also get the error about some unsupported features.....they want me to install the Options software instead so I can assign buttons etc to my M510 but the mouse work fine as a ( non programmable) mouse, Setpoint doesn't see the M510 except on the Unifying Tab BTW.
In the past Options didn't play well with the Setpoint Software which I need for my TRB-22 Trackball so I don't install it.
Hi Gang,
Yes brink, I saw 6.69.126, that was the thing though, running the install (upgrade?) is when I lose bluetooth capability and nothing in device manager for bluetooth.
Setpoint has been a pita for years IMO ...
Remembering that earlier on logitech had separate setpoint installers that either had the BT stack or without, not sure why running the update on a functioning Setpoint with BT would cause me to lose it.
however that said, I may run it again and see if the program then runs the BT assistant which informs the user "were are changing the dongle mode to Bluetooth...."
Will see later this weekend, not sure I want to waste my Friday night with my wife and daughter to muck with it :)
