When I have seen this message before , it was a Bios Post message not a BSOD and it was because an Update had screwed up the Order of the Boot Devices in the Bios and it was trying to boot off D:\ instead of C:\ when I went into the Bios to check the Boot Order, so I set the 1st device back to Windows Boot Manager and all was Well.

    KB.
I can confirm that as well. I've paused the updates for now until February or something and all is well now. So I guess problem solved. Thank you all for help! :)

Hello! I've just tried turning on my PC and it shows me a BSOD saying INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE. Yesterday everything was fine. I turned it off normally like always. I haven't updated any drivers either and there are no external drives or USBs connected. I liked for some solutions but none worked. I tried booting into safe mode (got the same error), I checked if my SATA options werr on AHCI (which they were). What do I do? I don't want to lose all my data!
If you did not format anything yet, try this solution:

Inaccessible Boot Device nach Update bei Windows 10 - die IT werkstatt Kiel

If you dont understand german and google translator wont help you:

you have to recover the registry backup from /windows/system32/config/regback to /windows/system32/config and rename the reg files. Before that, do a backup at least from /winsows/system32/config

When the computer is powered on now what do you see and hear?

Use the windows 10 iso > windows advanced troubleshooting menu > command prompt
Use a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread:
    1) diskpart
    2) list disk
    3) select disk 0
    4) list partition
    5) exit
    6) c: dir
    7) d: dir
    exit

    Hello,
after regular update, my PC will not start, all I get is INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE Error and DSOD. I can still access windows advanced troubleshooting menu > command prompt and I have been trying and trying. I have also managed to update the BIOS but no luck. I have followed tutorial from zbook, post 2. Since in step 14 I had osdevice partition=F, I typed chkdsk /r F: in step 19 - is it correct? But I´m not sure what to type in step 20 instead of G...?
    Can you please help me?

OK I guessed and typed: sfc /scannow /offbootdir=F:\ /offwindir=F:\windows - seems to be running now:

And I cannot continue, because after typing bootrec /fixboot, I see Access is denied.

The problem with inaccessible boot device in January was related to Spectre and Malestrom.
Microsoft responded with Windows updates that had unexpected problems:
    inaccessible boot device
    problems with USB ports

For these steps please use a camera or smart phone camera to take pictures and post images into the thread:
    command prompt > Administrator X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe > X:\Sources> type:
    1) c:
    2) dir
    3) d:
    4) dir
    5) e:
    6) dir
    7) f:
    8) dir
    9) g:
    10) dir
    11) bcdedit /enum
    12) bcdedit | find "osdevice"
    12) diskpart
    13) list disk
    14) list volume
    15) select disk 0
    16) list partition
    17) select partition 1
    18) detail partition
    19) select partition 2
    20) detail partition
    21) select partition 3
    22) detail partition
    23) select partition 4
    24) detail partition
continue in this fashion for all partitions on disk 0
and please continue in this fashion for disk 1
    exit

Fix: bootrec /fixboot access denied in Windows 10

If the above fails there is another option
