Bluetooth 4.0 issues with Drevo Keyboard
This keyboard is pretty notorious for connection issues, but here's what happened.
I have an Anker 10 port USB 3.0 hub which I use for all my USB devices except my removable HDD. Sometimes it seems to confuse information and I get repeating keys or badly delayed responses over BT 4.0 for which I have been using the "plugable" module from Amazon, for about six months now.
Anyway, today I was transferring files to some flash drives (via the hub) and the bluetooth started messing up of course. Now that I've restarted and unplugged things, the computer WILL connect via BT to my keyboard but then Windows automatically moves it from the "Mice and Keyboard" heading into "other devices" and it no longer works as a keyboard. I don't think Windows is recognizing the device as a keyboard anymore over BT and therefore it is useless. When I remove the device and try again, the same thing happens. The only thing I haven't tried (because it is damn tedious) is removing every single USB device from the menu in Device Manager. Will this work?
I tried uninstalling the BT adapter and restarting, it did not recognize the device at startup and I had to plug it into a few different ports to turn Bluetooth back on in Windows.
Please advise. It only seems to happen on weekends..... I particularly hate messing with stupid windows screw ups on weekends....![]()
