Win10x32 driver for Intel AC 8265 WLAN wifi needed

    Hi,

hope someone can help me with more knowledge than me regarding drivers.

I just got a new Intel Wifi card AC 8265 and want (need) to install on Win10 x32 and there is no driver available.
Only Win10-64 bit support by Intel and Win7-32 both working well, but not usable for Win10 x32, finds no driver.

Luckily I had a Win7x32 installation on another HDD inserted on the PC and searched for the Win10x32 driver there as well and what should I say, found there a singnated driver that works now on Win10x32.

It seems that they provide support for Win7->10 updates but not directly for Win10, refuses everything.

Now my question: how can I save the necessary driver files to make a clean install?
There are vwifibus.sys Netwsn04.sys Netwtn04.sys mentioned in driver details, but cant install with them, there is no .inf with 8265 card only a oem40.inf with 7265 driver.
Card is correctly shown as Intel pro AC 8265 and working with driver version 19.10.10.2, no need for unsigned driver or wrong 7265 driver to use, but I cant get it any more!
Has been found only in Win7 installation, and I dont have this HDD any more.
    Driver details from Win7 or 10 x32:
    Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265
    16.10.2017
    19.10.10.2
    Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility

There must be a way to extract the needed drivers/files for Win10x32 from Win7 but dont know how to do ...
I cant believe that I will have to install Win7 prior to a Win10 only to get this wifi driver running.

    Hey Gr1su,
This appears to be latest driver for that AC-8265 ... Download Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7*

Have you tried installing the Win7x32 driver in compatibility mode ?

    Right Click on the WiFi_20.10.2_PROSet32_Win7.exe
    Properties > Compatibility Tab
    Compatibility Mode
Check the box for Run this program in compatibility mode for:
Select Windows 7 > Click Ok

You can also run the Compatibility Trouble Shooter

thanks for answering, but sorry, doesn't work at all.

You can install it and finishes ok, but no driver installed afterwards, only the Intel-Pro program seen in control center.
Than searching for driver on whole C:/ will find a driver, but it won't install.:
Error-windows: error something went wrong, a file is missing (but no hint which file this should be).

Than in compatibility mode, tested with all possibilities, admin, single problems, mixed and even all, always the same.

It can only be installed from a HDD with Windows which has this driver installed and found there in \Windows\System32 (not in ...\drivers).

Same can be found in lenovo-forum from a user there (he uses Win7 now as he couldnt solve it).

In Win 7 there is a difference, while installing the driver is immediately found and installed automatically.
As well when using manual installation under Win7 there are 3 options, but I dont use them all so only driver installation.
In Win10 you will only see 2 of the options ... there is some difference when it installs and maybe the reasen that than something (file) is missing.

Use 7zip to extract the contents of the Intel .exe file. Using Device Manager double click on the NIC entry to open the Properties window, select the Driver tab and choose Update Driver. When asked where to look for the files select Have Disk and point to the location where you extracted the files to.

Install chipset driver for your computer first, so it can identify the unknown hardware. Like:

Download Intel Management Engine Interface Driver 11.7.0.1032 for Windows 10

recent ME is installed for my Mobo.
I have added a PCIe-adapter with Intel AC 8265 and it will be found in Win10x64 without problems!
Only in Win10x32 I have the problem that there is doesnt exist a Win10x32 driver only a Win7x32 driver but not possible to install.
Please answer to this special problem and not with nonworking standard solutions like MS will do if asking there.

Click on this link and then click on BT_20.10.0_32_W10.exe to download the 32 bit version of the needed drivers:
    Download Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows® 10

Run the exe as Admin after download to install the driver and Intel Pro Set software.

    Hi Railtech!

Thats the problem, it explicitely says: Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 (64-bit only)

And so it refuses to install x32 driver version for AC8265 ending with error message.

All Intel drivers have following notes:
Note: The following products support only 64-bit version of Windows10.

    • Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265

Anyway my windows 10x32 found a driver from a HDD with Win7x32 installation and it is even working.
But without this HDD online I cant install any Win10x32 driver.
