Does anyone know if we can change "All Apps" back to "All Programs"?

I really don't like the term "All Apps" on the new Start menu. I would like to put it back to "All Programs". Does anyone have any idea if this can be changed?

I don't use "apps". I'm not a mobile device user; I have a custom-built tower and I use PROGRAMS. I'm not talking about those simple little ones in the Windows store. I'm talking about Office Professional, WordPerfect Office, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Expression Web, Microsoft SQL Server, and others, as well as custom business software. Besides, I am also a longtime IT person (30+ years) and I used to write code, before becoming a sysadmin for the company I work for. We were PROGRAMMERS. We did NOT write "apps". I know I'm nit-picking, but if anyone has any ideas on this, I really would like to know.

I have to agree with squigglyanne. I use programs, not apps. I work in IT and I like Windows 10 a lot, but I really can't stand the casual language that Windows is using now - even Microsoft Office - for instance 'Want to save changes to Document1?' what was wrong with 'Do you want to save changes? I'm being picky I know, but it's supposed to be a professional OS and the programs are supposed to be professional too.

Anyhoo, I do belive that it can be done. I did a bit of searching to see if you could rename 'Start' on the Windowd 8.1 start screen a while back. I remember reading somewhere that the string tables that store all the text that appears on some dialog boxes and other system messages etc. are stored in some .mui files in the system32 folder (or in some subfolder) - you'd have to take ownership and use Resource Hacker to edit and compile it and to be honest, I think that it's more hastle than it's worth. I use Classic Shell - it's way more customisable - you can rename anything, change icons and there is different Start menu styles including the Classic Start menu from Windows 95.

Worried about the ever changing language of computing? There's a program for that!

Apps is synonymous to Applications which is a program also, so why bother?

Maybe squigglyanne wants what I want. The apps on the right part of menu,
and the programs, the old fashion "program applications", on the left.
    Best of both worlds.

I don't use any apps at all.
I may do in the future, but for now there's no 'tile' that needs my attention.
I've deleted and/or uninstalled the lot... or as many as Microsoft will allow!

I use 'apps' on my tablet.
I use 'programs' on my PC.

Other than using a third party app to change the name there is no way that I'm aware of to go into the internals of Windows and change that value(term).
