    This works perfectly. Microsoft, in their good wisdom, decided to add a new folder however. I need some help. I found a website that tells me exactly how to remove it. I did it manually but going forward, I'd like to add it to my script.

    No, I don't use it or the folder that are there via This PC. By doing this, this makes the folders specifically disappear from This PC.

    I prefer hiding, so you can easily restore, in case you change your mind.

    What are your folder options? Because mine shows much more and I am not sure which folders you are talking about. Do you mean it disabled Quick Access?

    As in the code above, what is selected as "Show" is shown and what is as "Hide" is hidden.
    I have also set Explorer to open to Downloads folder and I have changed its location to mine.

    So is this different than what I have? I take control of both of these:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{679f85cb-0220-4080-b29b-5540cc05aab6}\ShellFolder



    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{679f85cb-0220-4080-b29b-5540cc05aab6}\ShellFolder


    And then change these values

    a0100000 to a0600000

    There are various ways to do the same thing, whatever works for you is OK. I used to remove folders like you.
