    Changing Windows Store Apps icons

    Hey folks,

anybody knows, if it is currently possible to change the icons of the Apps from the Windows Store in the Windows Start Menu? Not talking about the ordinary shortcuts in the Start menu folders..

Maybe some tool like ResHacker exists?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

Am I allowed to bump in here?

    Edit:
Furthermore, I'd like to change the names of the Apps - although I am aware that this is probably just wishful thinking...

I think what you're asking isn't possible- and it it were, it would be undesirable, given that apps are frequently updated. Thus changes would be overwritten.

As it also goes against MS's apparent policy to try to establish a uniform interface across a range of devices, it's not likely they'd make such a thing easy.

What you could do is create a shortcut to an app, then change the name of the shortcut.
Then you could put all those renamed shortcuts in a folder....

But the existing shortcuts in the Win 10 start menu would not be changed.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for violating rules. Will stick to them in the future

Still, I'm not going to give up on it. If I find a solution, I will update this post.
