Yes, that seems to get rid of some of it. It seems like there's still some tooltips appearing sometimes, but it's a step in the right direction. I would like to try winaero tweaker again, but it doesn't seem to want to open after installing it.

Never had a problem.. do other desktop (exe) programs launch correctly? Try reinstalling it.

I did some more testing, and unchecking show pop-up description for folder and desktop items from this guide, seems to get rid of most of them.They still appear in the system tray and the start menu, though. They also appear in my browser.

I don't believe you've yet posted a screenshot of what it is you don't like.

That leaves people guessing- they try to help, then you say 'No, that's no it'.

Yes, that's the type of tooltips i want to disable. Also, i have posted a screengrab in my original post.
