    Odd. Do you have any 3rd party programs (ex: "Classic Shell") installed that may have modified it?

    No Classic Shell or any I know of.

    I have Fences which sets up desktop translucent boxes to organize icons. Maybe that did it.

How can I space the icons on desktop? How can I make text bigger where I can read it OK? Like when I type in a web address in the bar. Some of my icons or huge and some are small. Please help Jaye
