Sorry for the confusion Robert. I should have been more explicit. The regedit fix I implemented only turned on the jump lists (I had no jumplists). It didn't fix the limit.
I added the DWORD to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Word\Advanced rather than HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced. This seemed to trigger ALL the jump lists and not just the WORD one as I was expecting.
Makes you wonder why coders made such an arbitrary decision? "Oh I know, why don't I just change something that everyone was perfectly happy with and do it my way - no need for consultation."
