Classic Shell + frequent programs inquiry (shortcut not showing up)

So after fighting with (and often breaking windows) for longer than I care to admit over the start menu - I was talked into switching to classic shell and im largely satisfied.

One issue im having is that an item id appreciate that show up in frequent programs (windows 7 view) isnt showing up. This is because while it is a shortcut, its actually a shortcut to a batch file I need to run to start a game in a particular manner. (i have it renamed as the game and the icon is changed to display the games icon).

Doesnt show up in recent docs nor recent programs.

Any way to have frequent programs recognize a batch shortcut? Even better would be this PARTICULAR batch shortcut but i'll take what I can get :)

Yes go to Start Menu Settings then look for this:

If that does not work you can always place it in the start menu

Just click on an unused item and you can customize it to show anything.

You can just drag the batch file over the Start button, let the menu pop open and then drop it over the search box to "pin" it.

Just be careful not to drop it ON an item bit drop it IN-BETWEEN two items where it says "Pin to Start Menu".

Or create a custom item as suggested above (using Customize Start Menu tab).

Make a short cut and then pin it to the start menu
