Many thanks Brink. Just performed the command. I pressed enter and there was no response either way in Powershell just the next line. I will reboot
    That's normal.

You may have to wait 24 hours to see if it may change on its own again.

I did a reboot. Noticed that, on the sign in screen at first there was a normal Picture as my sign in screen and not the ones from WS. I had to select Windows Spotlight again, reboot and then it went back into life. Now i just need to wait to see if the picture changes without me having to manually select WS again.

Just curious, how do you like the images? I've never come across how to do that?

The 'Like what you see?' and the links that launch Edge to tell you more about the picture when you get back to the Desktop only seem to appear when I lock the screen from my user icon on the Start menu.

You should see a link like the one I boxed in red on your Win+L lock screen to do so.

Ah I see. I wonder if that's why it hasn't changed the images for me as I normally just login once when I boot my PC up. O never usually lock it

Yeah, you'll only see the links/questions on Windows Spotlight when you lock the computer instead of at startup.

No, Spotlight changes my images at boot even if I haven't locked it for a while.

Ah ok. Cheers Bree. Hopefully the app re-register fixes it. I will give it to the end of the week to see if anything changes

Just curious do I need to have something set in Cortana or Edge for it to work correctly or anything like that?

Thanks for all your help Brink :)

No, just select Spotlight in the Lock screen settings. If you want to keep an eye on how it's doing, look at the dates of the images in the folder Spotlight uses.

Thanks Bree. Just so im clear each file in:

    %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets

    Represents an image?
