Can the black Start Menu be somewhat closer to those of Win 7 or Win 8

I don't like the arrangement of programs and the color of the Win 10 start menu.
I have several other questions:
Can i remove the Xbox and other pre-installed applications?
Where is the old Control Panel? i get to it when i type Control Panel in the search box alrright but i want to place shortcuts for it

You could use Classic Start Menu Classic Shell - Start menu and other Windows enhancements which will get you a customisable Win7 type start menu.
You can stick Control Panel Icon on the Desktop > Themes, Scroll Down, Related Settings, Desktop Icon Settings, select Control Panel.

There are a number of third party Start Menu replacements, such as Classic Shell, Start10, etc.. However, you should know that the color of the menu is configurable in settings. Not sure what you mean by "the arrangement", but you can rearrange the tiles in the start menu by dragging them.

You can type "Control" in the search box, and then right click on it and choose "Pin to start" or "Pin to Taskbar".

Pin to Start of Control only works with Classic Start, no option to pin to the normal start here. Just double checked.

I've actually got it in Quicklaunch which I added back.

Pin to start/taskbar works fine for me in Windows 10 CU. I just did it, and I don't have any start menu replacement.

Strange, it's the only thing I can't pin to Start on two CU PC's, related to Classic Shell including it maybe, not going to stress over it.
