Natively hide "Show Desktop" button on taskbar

You know, this little bugger. Any way to natively hide it with a registry hack? I've used 7+ Taskbar Tweaker but I hate how it HAS to run in the background.

    Help is appreciated. Thanks!

This program from The Windows Club site seems to do the trick without running anything in the background

I wish there was a way to completely remove it though, so I could mouse-up to the top right corner (i have my taskbar on top) and activate Activity Center from there. As it is, this removes the annoyance of closing everything, but I still have to move my mouse slightly away from the corner to hover over the Action Center button itself.
