Press and hold the Windows Key on your Keyboard and press R. Then in the Run box type C:\Windows\system32
Then press enter. A explorer window will then open up then just browse for the files and make sure they arn't renamed as anything that modifies them will usually create a backup of the original and call it themeui.old or .bak. Or something simular.
Theres prob a faster way to do it but thats how I'd do it.
IF you want to keep trying just be sure if your version of Win10 is either 32-bit or 64-bit that you get the same for WinXP. 'Back then' only WinXP Pro was available also as 64-bit but it was not as prominent as Win7, not many programs were made for it. I may still have a copy somewhere but at the time never had the hardware for it.
I am not sure, but i try these things on Windows 8.1 and seems far from what i expect first.
I have not thought about it till now but it would be interesting to make ten look like xp.
