Windows 10 "Settings App" Disable in favor of Windows 7 Control Panel
Before we begin:
- Please do not reply to this post if you do not know anything about the inner workings of the Windows 10 operating system.
- Please do not tell me "it's not possible", "just get used to the new way of things", "you're wasting your time", UNLESS you can back it up with factual reasons WHY my idea is wrong and will not work.
- I'm looking for someone who has dug deep into the Windows 10 operating system, people who are coders or developers, maybe someone who has the same idea as me.
Let's cut to the chase:
I'm in search of making Windows 10 work the same as Windows 7. I want the same control panel. I'm not a fan of the "Settings App" and I think it's a complete mess of unorganized options. Most of which, lead back to the control panel in one way or another.
My idea:
Create a way to disable the "Settings App", and reintroduce the original control panel design. When I say "original control panel design" I mean changing Wi-Fi settings, resolution, personalize options in the same manner as Windows 7. I'm sure it's possible. What are the chances Microsoft deleted any chance of that in Windows 10?
Surely someone is thinking the same way I am. This may sound childish, but the "Settings App" is the only reason I choose to not use Windows 10 over 7.
