    Fair. It's not really rocket science, though.

    reg query HKLM\software\policies\microsoft\windows\system /v DisableLogonBackgroundImage
    from a CMD prompt. If that value is 0x1 and you don't see it, you're not on the latest updates. If that value is 0x0 or not set, go fix that and try again. Regardless: that's how it works now. Feel free to PM me if you're confused here. :)

    Oh, my bad ... for some reason I had created the key under HKLM\SYSTEM\ ...
    I moved it and now it works. Thanks!
