    Attachment 25313

I've tried to change the permissions on the pri file so admins can write or delete the file, but no go.
    Any clue?
Have you tried to take ownership first? See tut Take Ownership - Add to Context Menu in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Yes, I had. So I checked again, but somehow and strangly the changes hadn't been saved.

I reapplied the granted rights, and now it works. Thanks!

After the latest updates, looks like you can set DisableLogonBackgroundImage to REG_DWORD value 0x1 under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System to turn this off. If you want it back on, set it to 0x0 or delete the value.

    Nice!
Now, if you can find the CLSID to change the image, that would be awesome!

Nope, at least that doesn't work for my installation.

You need to be on 10240 with the latest updates. It's not in vanilla 10240.

Yes it works. Perhaps there were other factors involved with my 'Critical Error'

(Again, why don't they get rid of the Lock Screen that serves no purpose and hide my Email address?!)

I had to do a clean install to fix my black screen on boot after using the tool you provided here. Not worth risking a brick in my opinion
