A bit "busy" isn't it. But I like it for two reasons,
    1) it has this Egyptian Pharaoh touch, and,
    2) With the right icon placement, it adds perspective and depth to the desktop.

    Can't access that stuff;
This is like a skeleton Explorer floating in mid air! Weird.

    (Me, run "Scan-for-Crap"? What for?)

    Today's Icon, Event Viewer:

Place the icon where you want and open:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Administrative Tools
and right click the shortcut>>>Properties>>> change icon

If you wish just for the desktop shortcut instead of going through all the work, to have the system icon replace all the defaults, download this and place it on your desktop: Event Viewer Desktop Shortcut Only.zip

    False DISM Errors

One thing I found out about changing Admin Tools and other system32 icons is, when running
Dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, you will get a false error(0x800f081f) and sources not found and unrepairable corrupt file, this is because the original shortcut path has been modified by the icon change.

So you will want to keep this in mind if you change the icons

Just downloading the Desktop shortcuts, and putting them on the desktop to use, doesn't do this. It's the system wide icon change that does this.

Today I created a Realtek HD Audio Tile Pack and an Icon.
A little background as to why:

This morning, I updated my Realtek drivers(Ethernet and HD Audio).
Before updating HD Audio I needed to uninstall the old one, so I used as always "Geek Uninstaller" and Ccleaner, plus manual registry key removal. I then installed the newest Realtek driver and software. After the reboot I noticed that it wasn't showing up in Control Panel(at first at least) and I needed to find a way to access the UI.

Being the Geek, that I hope I am, I went into Program Files found the .exe for the UI in C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64 and pinned it to start(elegant, eh?).
I then saw a generic speaker icon unworthy of Realtek, and thought, I could definitely do much better.

    The Icon and Desktop Shortcut

    What the icon looks like:
First go to C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA\RtkNGUI64 and pin it to the start menu.
    Then go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
and change the icon in properties.

For those who just want the custom Desktop shortcut with the icon:

I had to make some changes(used another application file) so it would function better. If you downloaded the first variation, please unpin the tile, then delete the 2 files in the Realtek folder, and delete the shortcut in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and install these, then repin. If you have a problem repinning, reboot, then try it.

    Realtek Tile Pack:

When you have downloaded, unblocked in properties, and extracted,
copy or paste the .png and XML manifest in C:\Program Files\Realtek\Audio\HDA,
then pin RAVCpl64 to the Start Menu.

After pinning, right click the tile, go to "More" and click "Open File Location" find the shortcut and rename it to whatever you wish. I just call it REALTEK.

You can also change the icon to the above posted I created in GIMP.
