@Edwin, I'm still working on making your Camo High Contrast work better in AeroHybrid. I had to make a lot of changes because of hardcoded fonts and some thing's in HC are not even touched in Aero.
@Gas When I eventually get it working better, I'll send you the registry file to merge with the theme I made for you, so mor things will show up better. It will take a while though...
Here is what I have so far and how it effects some of Windows software, and 3rd party apps that follow the current Windows theme.
So far the problem lies in hard coded black text(text color that can't be changed while using an Aero theme). So I have gone with a lighter shade of gray, but I feel it needs to be a bit lighter for more contrast, but I'm afraid of ruining the dark effect. I'll just have to keep trying.
Here is an example, the Word Mobile App's text color doesn't follow the AeroHybrid theme. Or the Winaero Tweaker. is also barely readable, but I'm slowly getting there
camo.zip
@Gas, here is an updated version of the color registry file. Just download it, right click, choose properties, and unblock it and apply, then extract it, double click and give permissions to merge, sign out & back in. If you like it go to Control Panel >> Personalization and save it(you can then delete the old one if you so wish).
Thank you for all of the contrubtions! Some of these themes are really great!
Note that the background colour settings (at least) are lost when I resume from sleep or hibernation. That's been my experience - and reported over some years that of others- in Win 8 and 10. Is that your experience?
To overcome that I found I had to:
a. save the theme once configured with colour displayed
b. write a small script to reapply the theme
c. schedule that script to run on resume (yes, that is possible).
