How an windows theme looks depends on your settings too. I have all my windows apps set to dark(See this thread on how to do that). Also in Settings>Personalization>Colors turn all three switches on.
Ok, I have kicked off my vacation by working on a readable/usable RED registry color hack. It's not finished, I need to work on the text shade.
I used a color "Triad", meaning, three colors should all contrast enough, no matter how the three are mixed, object to highlight. For example red on green & green on red, blue on green...etc. Having green the same "gray scale" shade as red and blue just doesn't quite work in a daytime ambient light environment, for a UI, it needs to be lighter to have more contrast, because red & blue make up green. In a light controlled environment where it's dimmer, it looks good though.
Also this customization is TOTALLY USELESS for the red-green COLOR BLIND, sorry. If someone is color blind and wishes a customized color reg file, and doesn't know how to change the RGB values, let me know(I need to know where your color problem lies) and I'll see what I can do.
Here's what I have so far, I don't want to break it, so I'll work on it again later:
For those who want to test it on their PC's(remember it's only for the current applied theme, so first create a windows them or clone a current one so as not to screw up a theme you like) here is the download(only the RGB reg file-not the background/Windows theme, which can be found here, unblock it and double click to apply:
Haven't had time to try it yet but this: Download Windows 10 Color Control - MajorGeeks promises to enable better color control.
