I have created a Desktop shortcut that brings you straight to the "Check for updates" button in Windows Update, in the Settings app.
When you click/double click this shortcut, it will open Windows Update and all you need to do is hit the Return/Execute key.

    1. Download the shortcut pack.
    2. Unblock in properties(right click).
    3. Extract the contents.
    4. Place the shortcut on your desktop.
    5. Place the icon, somewhere where you will never move it(I have a folder extra for custom icons in my Users folder), but NOT on the desktop!
    6. Open up the shortcuts properties and click change icon.
    7. Browse to where you stored your Icon, and apply it.

    What the icon looks like:

That's OK I thought that was so
I found a bunch of Settings App shortcuts in File Explorer, and I'll be creating Desktop shortcuts for the ones I feel are commonly MOST used(no need one for every setting).
