Hi Boove Delighted to hear you've fixed the problem. It's time Microsoft got this sorted. I'll make a note of your fix in my little black book of My Microsoft Fixes! It's pretty full ha ha. Thanks for letting me know. Kind regards Flissa

We're almost at the end of 2020 and I can't believe after all this time (OP was in Jan2017) Microsoft still haven't found a solution ???

Why don't they just do away with one and use the same screen for both functions .. I hate seeing that cave + my own custom image every time I boot.

Hello. Sorry that you are still having an issue with this. On my end, it just so happened to have fixed itself a long time ago. I don't know/remember what I did, or if the issue fixed itself. I would suggest you trying to change options in the lock screen settings and keep trying small things, one thing at a time, to maybe resolve this issue.

But if anyone out there knows what the fix was to this, then it would be nice for you to post what fixes this issue.

I can help you with this, I had that issue before.
    it is not about settings.
There is a folder about this

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData
it is a system folder, first you need to accsess, change the owner and open with admin rights

there are 2 folders in it

    S-1-5-18
S-1-5-21-1819520571-1186344035-200566658-1001 <--- this folder will fix your issue

    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-21-1819520571-1186344035-200566658-1001\ReadOnly\

there is folders named as LockScreen_B, LockScreen_* etc..

now all you have to do
find your own lock screen image folder and
windows default (your cave lock screen) folder

for me it was LockScreen_B and LockScreen_W
i erased the files in LockScreen_W, and copied files from LockScreen_B to LockScreen_W folder
after that reboot, win+L, etc... all the time i see my lockscreen picture

    if you
i hope you can fix your issue with this, it is really annoying to see pictures that you dont want.
