Windows 10: Start Menu Customization
Start Menu Customization
Is there a way to put custom items here instead of a full list of programs in my PC? sort of winows 7 style? https://i.imgur.com/LVdbxwY.png
In a manner of speaking, yes.
Basically you need to create custom shortcuts in the folders that the originals reside in:
C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Best to use Classic Shell (free) if you want something like Win 7 that lets you use subfolders in the way you're used to and manipulate the start menu by drag 'n drop.
(You can still use the Win 10 start menu as well).
If you want to stick with using the standard Windows 10 Start, try going to Settings/Personalisation/Start and turn on 'show most used apps'. You can also pin apps to Start as tiles then organise them into groups, not quite what you asked for - but just as useful.
What symbol are u using to make them appear on top of the list?

Okay so I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
When I first installed Windows 10 the Start Menu had categories like "Life at a glance" and so on. However, I removed all of the tiles because at that time I felt like I didn't need...
