Windows 10: Window Color Changes
Window Color Changes
Since downloading and installing the 10/2 updates, my windows have been changing colors. They're normally a blue/grey scheme, but when I hover over a link or button, the colors brighten, and it shifts to a brownish scheme. I've only noticed this on Chrome and Office applications, but I assume it has to be something to do with the update. I assume it's a setting in Themes or customization, but I can't figure out a way to turn it off. Does anyone know what's going on and how I might keep the colors from changing? It strobes every time I move my mouse, which gets annoying very quickly.
hi commanderabel, did you manage to find a fix to this? i've been pulling my hair out since that update too
It sounds like you have accented colours turned on which is in Personalisation.
mine's unchecked, swarfega
Before anniversary "update" you could tint your border color around windows to almost feint using the slider "color intensity" to zero.
It is not longer possible after anniversary edition, nothing happens at all when you use the slider like...
The old Win7 'Window Color and Appearance' has been removed from Windows 8/10.
I have a Win7 disk image, so I have access to the files from it....
I would like to put some of the Win7 64-bit files into a folder on my Win10 64-bit...
Hey guys, for some reason the top border of my windows is only in color one window at a time. it seems that use to all of them had color...what adjustment do I need to go to so they will all be in color? Here is what I mean.
Just got Win 10 and if I have many windows open there is no distinction between which are active and which aren't. Before the active window would have a colored toolbar at the top while the inactive windows would be colorless or white.
Under Windows 10 I donít know how to add colors to the window borders of applications open, as that makes them easier to spot when I work with several at the same time. Now the frames are all white or grey.
Where is the settings dialogue for that?...
